I know I know, sangria is traditionally red wine. But as much as I've been learning about wines lately and have discovered I don't *hate* reds, I prefer whites. Also, I don't think red wines make very good spritzers so...
Possible Fruit Combos (assume all fruit is peeled/hulled/seeded/etc and chopped into bits):
(This is by no means a definitive list, you can really play with your fruit combos. Some fruits like bananas, apples, melons would not really lend themselves to it well so don't just throw the kitchen sink in there, but have some fun with it!)
1 mango, 1 peach, handful blueberries
handful strawberries, handful raspberries, handful blackberries, handful blueberries
1 cup cherries, 1 cup pomegranate juice (because really, that is all you get if you seed one of these >.>)
1-2 plums, 1-2 apricots, 1 peach
handful raspberries, 1 peach
Throw the fruit in a pitcher and add 1-2 bottles cheap but drinkable white wine depending on how many guests you are expecting. I like a pinot grigio or pino gris or dry riesling but whatever you usually like to drink works. Shake it up or use a wooden spoon to muddle the fruit a bit and put it in the fridge to chill. Serve with sprite or seltzer or tonic splashed in for bubbles.
